Strengthening cross-border cooperation between Europe and Africa through strategic partnerships, innovation, and sustainable development.
Mauritania Gateway is proud to have served as the official organizer, event manager, and content production partner for the landmark conference held on 20 February 2025 in Nouakchott — marking the first formal presentation of projects approved under the inaugural call for proposals of the Interreg MAC (Madeira-Azores-Canary Islands) Programme on Mauritanian soil.
We designed, coordinated, and delivered the full event experience — from logistics and institutional protocol to professional video production, photography, and content creation — ensuring the event was documented and communicated to the highest international standard.
“Mauritania Gateway connects the African continent to European opportunity — turning cooperation frameworks into visible, impactful realities on the ground.”
The conference was held within the framework of the strategic project ATLANTE, endorsed by the Interreg MAC programme to reinforce and accelerate cooperation with its African partners. Mauritania Gateway was at the heart of making this vision a tangible event — capturing history in the making.
Nine out of ten approved projects involve Mauritanian partner institutions — including universities, chambers of commerce, tourism offices, and national training institutes — demonstrating the depth of collaborative commitment between the two regions.
The event united heads of state, ambassadors, EU representatives, and technical experts under one roof, setting a powerful precedent for Africa–Europe cooperation in innovation, sustainability, and mobility.
As a full-service event and communications agency rooted in Mauritania, we are uniquely positioned to translate the complexity of European programmes into locally meaningful, professionally executed events that leave a lasting impression.
Driving innovation and competitiveness across the Macaronesia–Africa corridor through cutting-edge research, digital transformation, and entrepreneurship in high-impact sectors.
Advancing the ecological transition through shared efforts in renewable energy, biodiversity protection, and sustainable green and blue infrastructure across partner territories.
Building comprehensive frameworks to understand and manage human mobility between the Canary Islands and Africa through an integrated, data-driven, and human-centred observatory.
Mauritania Gateway's production team captured the full scope of the event — from official opening ceremonies to technical project presentations — delivering premium audiovisual content that documents this historic milestone in European–African cooperation.
The conference was distinguished by the participation of senior officials from both European and Mauritanian institutions, underscoring the strategic weight and political importance of the Interreg MAC programme in shaping Africa–Europe relations.
The formal opening saw the convergence of the President of the Government of the Canary Islands, the Spanish Ambassador to Mauritania, the European Union Ambassador, and the Mauritanian Minister of Economy and Finance, alongside senior representatives of the Azorean and Canarian governments.
Project presentations were led by lead partners from the Canary Islands, each joined by their respective Mauritanian counterparts — demonstrating a strong commitment to joint implementation across both institutional and technical dimensions.
