Proexca coordinates the economic and business table of the Canary Islands–Africa Strategy, in coordination with the Directorate-General for Relations with Africa. The round table in Las Palmas is one output of that machinery; this document is the machinery itself.
The plan is built on two axes: commercial presence and investment on one side, transversal actions — training, mobility, market intelligence, European projects — on the other.
The last section is the operative one for anyone working between the two shores: the named actions planned for 2026/27, country by country, including the Mauritanian sectors Proexca intends to work on.
The outward-facing axis: getting Canarian companies into African markets, and international investment into projects that use the Canaries as a base.
The capability-building axis: presence on the ground, skills, mobility, intelligence and European project funding.
It sits inside a funded, coordinated strategy with named actions, a business network, training and mobility programmes, and European project money behind it — which is what makes a second stage, and a third, realistic.
The full document sets out both axes of the Canary Islands–Africa Strategy, all thirteen lines of action and the planned 2026/27 actions for Morocco, Mauritania, Senegal, Cape Verde and the European MAC projects.
